The tool includes common presets for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube), standard photo sizes (passport photos for both US and Indian formats), and common screen resolutions. If none of those fit, you can enter any custom width and height in pixels, centimeters, or inches.
There is also an aspect ratio lock that, when enabled, automatically adjusts the height when you change the width (and vice versa) to prevent your image from being stretched or squished. Turn it off when you need specific dimensions regardless of the original proportions - like cropping a landscape photo into a square for a profile picture.
All processing happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are never uploaded to any server. The resized output is available as a PNG download, preserving transparency if your original image has it.
